GST/HST Rebate When Purchasing New Home In Ontario

I have friends asking me about the difference of purchasing a resale home and new home in terms of GST&HST. When purchasing a resale home, there is no GST&HST. But GST&HST will apply for the new home, total will be 13% of purchase price. New housing rebate will be provided by the provincial government up to maximam $24,000 regardless the price.
